Alpine inspiration meets Czech nature: A retreat designed for both intimacy and family life.
THE CHALLENGETo design a compact recreational object that balances geometry with practical usability. The goal was to maximize the feeling of space within a limited footprint while ensuring the structure blends seamlessly into the surrounding forest landscape, all while offering flexibility for different guest capacities.
THE SOLUTIONWe optimized the design by expanding the footprint to 42 m², significantly enhancing comfort without losing the intimate scale. Drawing inspiration from the Triforêt alpinresort, the concept features a striking contrast between warm oak interiors and bold black details. Large glass facades dissolve the barrier between the interior and the wild, while three distinct layout variants allow the space to shift effortlessly from a romantic suite to a functional family hub.
THE RESULTA visually stunning and highly functional forest retreat. The cabin offers a luxurious "window to the wild" experience, providing an efficient yet airy layout that adapts perfectly to the investor's business model, maximizing both aesthetic value and guest comfort.
